Fountainhead is a seven-piece Rochester, MN based group formed in the Fall of 2003 out of students at Century and John Marshall High Schools in Rochester. The seventh member, Taylor Weston, was not added until Summer of 2004. Fountainhead has gained local popularity in Rochester through a series of shows within the city and is currently in the process of expanding their audience as well as recording a demo album. They placed first in the 2004 Chateau Battle of the Bands and place third in the 2005 Century High School Battle of the Bands and have played alongside bands such as Plazmatic and Lusus. Their style is best described as "ska", however their music ranges from near-punk to progressive rock.
