The Scoop

I can get a show in Duluth sometime this winter if we can manage a set that's between 30 minutes and an hour. We'd be playing with my brother's band probably at some place like Pizza Luce or Dose Quarters.

So when are you guys available this winter? I think if we just practice sometime this winter we can book a show on a weekend sometime and we don't necessarily have to play during winter break, however that would be ideal.

My brother also gave my number to a friend he knows in Rochester who has a band to see if he can get us any gigs in that area.

And while we're looking into gigs, it's time to make a press kit. If we pick the best four or five live recordings from BOTB that were just posted a while back, that would be a satisfactory demo for most low-end gigs which is what we'd be looking at for this winter.

So what we need is four of those live songs for a demo, a few photos, and background info. I realize that pretty much all of these things are on the site already, but we should put it all together and figure out what songs, photos, etc. we want in the press kit. It wouldn't really be any work at all except printing things off and mailing them. And picking them.

Alright. We need five things:
1. Would you be interested in a show in Duluth?
2. When are you guys available?
3. What songs go in our demo? (Fans should sound in on this one too.)
4. What pictures go in the press kit?
5. What do we want for background info?

GOD DAMN IT I WANT TO PLAY WITH YOU GUYS AT THIS WINTER THING SO BADLY BUT I WON'T BE ABLE TO. Have fun...

Posted by: Taylor at September 14, 2005 01:50 AM

I'll be gone from the 23rd to the 29th.

Posted by: Nate at September 14, 2005 11:20 AM

All: I should be more or less available between December 21st and January 17th. I think our demo songs should be Justin's Pants, Rhyming Dictionary, Peter's Calves, and Pizza Day. Possibly España.

Nate: So are you available after Dec. 29th and before Feb. 6th? If so, we should probably plan for something in January.

Taylor: Is there ANY way to get back for just a few days in January?

Posted by: Andrew Richner at September 14, 2005 01:55 PM

I don't know when J term starts here, but earlier rather than later would be good.

Taylor, you should learn to teleport. Not kidding.

Sounds good on demos ongs, give it a shot, I'd be in. I'll drive, I'll suck someone's cock (maybe), I just want this to happen.

I will be here because I am not in college yet. The songs sound good to me. Um... ALL WHO WANDER ARE NOT LOST!

THANK YOU BUMPER STICKER

I'm sorry, but I really don't want to play in Duluth. Too far away for my drums, I think...

So does Love Ugly still exist Mark?

The guy on it was wearing headphones. Big ones. Like Nates. That seemed unsafe.

You know, playing someplace other than Rochester is probably the best idea anyone has had. Get this thing rolling, take it somewhere. Heck, I'll go get Taylor, no blow job needed.

GIVE PEACE A CHANCE!

Posted by: Einstein at September 15, 2005 08:29 PM

Well, if we play, we do need Nate. And I don't know if Love Ugly exists still, I have one more person to ask to find out though. Duluth would be fun to play in, however. I agree with the song choice also. And I suppose I could take one for the team and sucka dick or two.

What color is mauve?

Posted by: Einstein at September 16, 2005 08:48 AM

A moderate grayish violet to moderate reddish purple.

Anyhow, I'm not sure on Love Ugly yet, but, I got an email back from the guy who books Ultra Lounge. We'll see what can happen with that. I'll keep everyone posted, I told him that a show in mid to late-mid December would be best. So, could you all please get me dates that you cannot play, that would help.

That dude ruled, just say yes and do it.

Sorry, but I'm returning to St. Olaf on Saturday night (gotta sing Sunday morning).

I'm coming back Friday. Should be in Rochester around 6.

Posted by: Nate at September 28, 2005 10:58 PM

Is anybody else secretly laughing at this psuedo-"Three Stooges" little event going on. You guys want to practice, but no one is ever in Rochester at the same time. And nobody can find David, unless I missed something. This is giving me a good chuckle and perhaps a chortle too. Thanks.

Posted by: Einstein at September 29, 2005 12:53 PM

Moe is their leader.

hi tanner

hi justin

I'm going to go see david sometime

Posted by: Michael Harms at October 5, 2005 06:16 PM

I had an awesome dream that we were at some function of some sorts, and David and Mr. Larson were passing around a handpipe and smokin' weeeeed.

It rocked.

Posted by: Justin Bunke at October 6, 2005 07:02 AM

I'm guessing the whole "let's call David" thing hasn't worked out, but can't Bunke or someone whos in Rochester just go talk to him? He doesn't bite, at least last time I saw him.
