Here's what Taylor has to say about it:
I talked with him and he said this.
Pricing: Upfront it's hard to tell what the price will be. It depends on how well we have our stuff down and how many songs it takes. Most likely he'll just find a piece of equipment he wants in his studio and charge us whatever the price of that is (like if he wants a new mic). Basically, he said since he knows me he'll give us a super discounted rate. YAY!
Note for Nate: He doesn't have enough space for a digital kit but he has a fucking righteous digital kit you can play on. Basically, it'll sound the same as your drums but it'll be weird for you to adjust to it. If this is alright, it'll be cool.
Note on avaliablity: He is free almost all week. Normally he only records on Fridays but since he knows me (HELL YES) we can do it any day of the week, so whenever everyone is free.
Note on commitment: He'll let us record a song for free. If we like it we'll go from there, if we don't, we don't have to record with him. I'm pretty sure we'll like it but if we don't, we don't have to pay him and we don't have to continue recording with him at his studio.
Other than that, he can record the drummer and 2 people at a time so probably Mark and Bunke (or me...depending on the song) with nate. Then Andrew and I (or bunke). Then the brass. Then the vocals. This all depends on the song and how well we know our stuff.
So, post away days you are free.
Posted by Andrew Richner at April 28, 2005 08:09 PMCool... I'm free pretty much solid after this week. You name the day, I'll free it up.

May 14th, May 15th, May 21st, May 28th, May 29th, June 3rd, June 5th-July 16th.
That's all that's scheduled so far.
Posted by: Andrew Richner at April 28, 2005 10:13 PMTuesdays, Wednesdays, and weekends I have basketball. This means we should do it on those days.
Posted by: Justin Bunke at April 28, 2005 11:31 PMdays NOT available:

also: may 12 (wisdom teeth!) and probably a few days after too...

Posted by: David at April 29, 2005 08:09 AMI'm usually free, just name a day, and I'll probably call in sick for work.
Posted by: The Reverend Doctor M. Flash at April 29, 2005 11:07 AMHello and welcome to the "I don't do much of anything official" crowd, mark.
Posted by: Michael A. Harms, Esq. at April 29, 2005 06:04 PMSo he doesn't have room for an acoustic set, right? (I think that's what Andrew meant) I'll play digital.
Posted by: Nate at April 29, 2005 07:50 PMAny days except Tuesdays and Wednesdays work for me. But I'm flexible.
By the way, where does this guy live?
Posted by: Nate at April 29, 2005 07:51 PMGood question.
Posted by: Michael A. Harms, Esq. at April 29, 2005 11:55 PMJust to clarify. This is all information directly from Taylor. I just copied and pasted it.
Posted by: Andrew Richner at April 30, 2005 12:26 AMWe should probably have a practice soon just to make sure we have stuff down perfectly.
Posted by: Justin Bunke at May 1, 2005 09:25 PMTrue. What're people doing Friday? Saturday doesn't look too hot for me.
Taylor, Nate and I are now free on Sundays.
Posted by: Michael A. Harms, Esq. at May 1, 2005 10:23 PMFriday = Big Nine, remember?
Posted by: Andrew Richner at May 2, 2005 01:32 PMThis weekend will not work for me.
Posted by: Justin Bunke at May 2, 2005 02:00 PMDang
Posted by: Michael A. Harms, Esq. at May 2, 2005 04:35 PMAlright, I thought of this this morning before I got in the shower. For our first song, we should record something that has a lot of every instrument. I know we were doing Peter's Calves before with Woodshed, but since our first, free song is an exploratory thing, we need to make sure that trumpet or sax or keyboard isn't going to sound like shit and ruin our whole recording.
Posted by: Andrew Richner at May 2, 2005 05:18 PMKristin Busacker is throwing me a party on my brithday...may 4th, 8:30 pm fiesta cafe and bar, bring some money to eat
fountainhead and fans are invited to go
Posted by: Taylor at May 2, 2005 06:38 PMJust kidding! I have pneumonia and even I can't make the party, therefore, don't go.

Posted by: Justin Bunke at May 3, 2005 05:48 PMI don't mean to be difficult, but isn't there any way for me to play my own drumset? The whole reason we waited to record was for this thing, and I'd hate to not hear them recorded.
I don't have to bring the whole set, just a few pieces would be enough.
After all, what kind of recording studio is this if he doesn't have room for a drum set?
Posted by: Nate at May 3, 2005 07:09 PMTru dat yo. Homeboy knowz wut he's talkin' bout.

Posted by: Taylor at May 8, 2005 04:39 AMHey. I got this crazy idea. Let's get a time to do this.
How does FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH look for everyone?
Posted by: Andrew Richner at May 8, 2005 01:03 PMI can be free.
Posted by: Michael A. Harms, Esq. at May 8, 2005 01:45 PMtoo cliché, Friday the 13th, I mean come on. ...

I hope you are feeling better Taylor.
Posted by: Peter Aram Constantian at May 8, 2005 03:14 PMI'm working 5-10 on friday, I can get to the location afterwords, otherwise, we can try to start work on saturday if everyone is free.
Posted by: The Reverend Doctor M. Flash at May 8, 2005 06:06 PMIt'd have to be early Saturday for me. Actually, pretty much Saturday is up in the air still. But evening is definitely out. Sunday afternoon/evening is good, though.
Posted by: Andrew Richner at May 8, 2005 11:16 PMyes, sunday sounds good
Posted by: Thom at May 9, 2005 05:25 AMhaha, I just posted as Thom by accident. BTW LUSUS IS DOWN!!!! AHHH
Posted by: Taylor at May 9, 2005 05:25 AMWe've asked to play at a party.
On June 4th, Tom Lund (a chum from Honors Choir) is throwing a HUGE party for a long time friend of his who is moving. I'm not sure where we'd play specifically (probably either Tom's house or the friend's) but I do know it'll be in Byron since that's where they live.
So, who wants to? Keep in mind that we'll have played that morning...
AT 5 A.M.
(Despite the timing, I think we should play)
Posted by: Nate at May 9, 2005 07:41 PMIt will be like a Fountainhead mini tour.
Posted by: Justin Bunke at May 9, 2005 08:03 PMBTW I think we should play.

Posted by: Taylor at May 10, 2005 02:14 AMso basically we play all night at the senior party and then get over to byron at 5 am to play some more? um, i'm cool with that but are we going to be alive at 5 saturday morning?
Posted by: david at May 10, 2005 08:47 AMHELL YES. COUNT ME IN.
ROCK N' ROLL LIFESTYLE, BITCHES.
Posted by: Michael A. Harms, Esq. at May 10, 2005 09:27 AMI assume the party will be Saturday evening, so if you want to sleep Saturday afternoon, that'd be fine.
Posted by: Nate at May 10, 2005 03:42 PMAll we need is 24oz Rockstars. Like 4 each.
Posted by: Justin Bunke at May 10, 2005 03:58 PMmy tummy hurt after that
Posted by: Michael A. Harms, Esq. at May 10, 2005 07:02 PMAlright I guess I'm in for June 4th. Though you're cutting it close.
Also ... Sunday. What time? Taylor, if you haven't already, talk to Dittmar about Sunday.
Posted by: Andrew Richner at May 10, 2005 07:54 PMI am going to my grandparents this weekend. It would not be the best time to do it. If I absolutely need to I can get out of it, but it is kind of important.

Posted by: asdfw at May 11, 2005 06:06 PMAlright, we will have to record in sections anyways, right? Well let's have some of us record on Sunday afternoon at least. How's that?

Posted by: Andrew Richner at May 13, 2005 08:13 PMHi guys,
I sent out some E-mails to some of you regarding the Alzheimer's Association Benefit Concert. From what you've posted before, it looks like you'd be willing and able to play. At this point, we really need your help, otherwise the event will be a flop. Because we don't have bigger-name entertainment like you, we haven't had many ticket sales yet. It takes place on Saturday, May 21st. Again, we could really use your help. You appeal to a wide variety of ages, so you'd certainly be a hit. Also, your involvement would help shape who bought tickets. I've listened to your music online, and I really like what I hear and think that it would fit well. I just want to make sure that there's still interest. I know that David is still really interesting in play, and certainly hope that the same is true for the rest of you.
Thanks,
Patrick Grogan
I wouldn't be totally against playing the alzheimers thing, I guess, but it's not a huge deal to me either way. chalk me up to apathy at this point.
LET'S FUCKING RECORD
Posted by: Michael A. Harms, Esq. at May 14, 2005 10:44 PMI will be willing, but I don't really care.
Posted by: Justin Bunke at May 15, 2005 11:15 AMI don't want the thing to go badly for Patrick, and he's really the only reason I'd consider doing it. Myself, I have no personal desire to play at the alzheimers thing.
Posted by: Michael A. Harms, Esq. at May 15, 2005 12:47 PMIt's just like every other show we've played. Why the hell not?
Oh yeah and we get $20 a piece.
Posted by: Andrew Richner at May 15, 2005 01:59 PMYep, didn't see that, thanks for telling me. Anyway, let's pick a new date.
Posted by: Taylor at May 16, 2005 02:54 PMI can't make the alzheimer's thing, sorry guys.
Posted by: The Reverend Doctor M. Flash at May 16, 2005 06:32 PMNo worries. We weren't gonna do it anyway.
